National Summit for Children’s Health in a Changing Climate

Babies and young children are among the most vulnerable to our changing climate and the least able to protect themselves.

A powerful movement is emerging. 

Childcare providers, early and K–12 educators, home visitors, and pediatric health providers are taking on carbon emissions and adapting their settings to protect children from present harms. They’re reducing the risks of those to come and preparing children for their futures as stewards of the land, air, and water. Together with community members and climate and environment experts, they are creating new collaborations with all kinds of community-based organizations, local government agencies, businesses, and other institutions to learn from and strengthen each other’s efforts.

Join us to learn with advocates in pediatrics, early childhood care and education, urban forestry, community development, public agencies, philanthropy, research, and journalism who will share their work underway now — in partnership with children and families already living with new climate extremes.
