Endocrine-disrupting chemical (EDC) exposures vary widely across individuals and populations, highlighting important opportunities for intervention. Effective exposure-reduction strategies should prioritize chemicals with high toxicity and well-characterized, modifiable exposure sources.

At the individual level, changes in diet and consumer product selection, furniture replacement, and use of air filtration can meaningfully reduce exposure. Consumer education campaigns and marketplace strategies can extend these benefits to larger populations by shifting consumer behavior and product availability. Policy interventions have the potential for the broadest and most sustained impact, although their development and implementation may take years to translate into measurable reductions in exposure. Achieving meaningful and equitable reductions in EDC exposures will require coordinated action across these levels.
