Start your Canadian Climate Exchange Week morning with a fresh perspective on health, climate change, and capital. This French-language luncheon conference brings together health foundations, philanthropic investors, universities, and financial leaders to explore concrete approaches to integrating climate considerations into investment decisions. As climate-related financial risks increasingly impact public health, organizations have an opportunity to align their investments and governance practices with their mission.

This session, organized by the Canadian Climate Law Initiative, Quinn+Partners and the Canadian Coalition for an Ecological Health Fund program, in partnership with Finance Montréal, will present concrete strategies, emerging tools and case studies to help foundation leaders better understand and manage climate-related financial risks, seize opportunities and strengthen their resilience.

At the end of the event, participants will be able to:

  • Better understanding the climate challenges specific to foundations in the health sector.
  • Discover tools and resources to integrate climate issues into investment decisions.
  • Exchange ideas with peers and experts working at the intersection of climate, health and finance.
  • Identify the next steps to integrate climate issues into investment and governance practices.

The Canadian Climate Law Initiative (CCLI) provides businesses and regulators with climate governance advice to help them make informed decisions toward a net-zero economy. Drawing on the country's leading expertise, we engage with boards of directors and trustees to ensure they fully understand their legal obligations related to climate change. Our legal research allows us to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
