Description

This draft guidance supplements the TNFD recommendations (2023) as well as the TNFD’s Guidance on assessing nature-related issues — the LEAP approach — and should be read in conjunction with that guidance.

The TNFD recognises that there can be significant differences across sectors for corporates applying the LEAP approach and disclosing relevant metrics. It has published this draft guidance to help organisations with business models or value chains in this sector to carry out a solid assessment of nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities, by applying the LEAP approach.

This draft guidance also proposes recommended sector disclosure metrics, including draft guidance on the application of the TNFD core global disclosure metrics and proposed core and additional sector disclosure indicators and metrics.

This guidance covers the alternative fuels value chain which includes SICS® industries: Biofuels (RR-BI); Agricultural Products (FB-AG); Chemicals (RT-CH); Forestry Management (RR-FM); Waste management (IF-WM); Airlines (TR-AL); Air Freight & Logistics (TR-AF); Marine Transportation (TR-MT); Road Transportation (TR-RO); Electric Utilities and Power Generators (IF-EU).
