Description

Resource Overview

The prevalence of obesity has increased sharply amongst developing and developed nations such that it now represents a global pandemic. Due to the associated co-morbidities of Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Arthritis and Cancer, this represents not just a threat to wellbeing but also poses a financial threat to fragile healthcare systems.

Furthermore, the world has woken up to the fact that obesity has been recognised as a risk factor for a worse prognosis with COVID-19 infection. This module explores the pathophysiology of weight gain, control of appetite and also the related co-morbidities.

Once you successfully complete the resource - achieving the minimum pass rate of 60% - you'll be awarded with a downloadable one hour CPD Certificate, which you can print or upload to your CPD Portfolio.
