Governing healthcare systems in the climate crisis: lessons, visions and pathways for climate resilient development
Description
Episode 30 of the Saving the World webinar series features Sophie Robinson who very recently joined the Hothouse team as a Research Fellow. Sophie will be speaking about her PhD research into governance for climate resilient development in healthcare.
Healthcare systems are increasingly recognised as critical arenas for advancing climate resilient development, yet the governance arrangements that enable or constrain this remain poorly understood. This webinar synthesises research from three sites —Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Australia to help illuminate common barriers and enablers of governing for climate resilient development in healthcare. Sophie will also discuss the importance of extending the boundaries existing health and governance paradigms to better embed social-ecological and socio-cognitive factors.
