Pipes and Taps: Protecting Vulnerable Patients Building Water System Design and the last few meters
Description
As our understanding of risk has increased, it is recognised that it is necessary to break down ‘water systems’ into three areas, each requiring their own expertise and competence to ensure the safety of patients.
The three areas are the main body of the water system, the main body of the wastewater system, and the periphery of the water and wastewater system.
What will the webinar cover?
This talk will focus predominantly on the periphery of the water system. The delivery of safe water is dependent upon a multitude of stakeholders including manufacturers, producers of guidance in addition to all those involved in a new build or refurbishment.
The talk will provide examples of what is required through the various stages of design, construction, installation, commissioning and occupation of a building to ensure water quality is not having an adverse effect on patient safety.
