The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future.

In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing brought together leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster. That evidence is now on the public record.

The People’s Emergency Briefing brings together people in local communities across the UK to hear the evidence and discuss how to respond.

Hosted by the University of Exeter, with facilitation from Exeter Community Assembly, this event is organised in partnership with Civic University Agreement Exeter partners.
