CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Note: In preparing your submission please follow the instructions carefully. Acceptance of your submission is conditional on your compliance with these instructions and failure to follow these requirements may result in abstracts not being accepted.

All submissions will be considered for the poster category with the four highest scoring being eligible to present their work orally.

Deadline will be 23:59 on Tuesday 31st March 2026.

Your submission must be a topic related to Obstetric Anaesthesia.

Please ensure that you:

  • Use the abstract template provided as a separate file which must be adhered to.
  • Complete the “Abstract submission form” and “Abstract submission checklist and declaration” at the end of this document to ensure you have met all the necessary criteria.
  • Submit the abstract as a Word file, labelled as “ASM-1stauthorsurname-brief topic” (e.g. “ASM-Smith-morphine”).
  • E-mail a copy of the abstract along with the completed “Abstract submission form” and “Abstract submission checklist and declaration to [email protected]

Presentation guidance 

Authors of abstracts will be contacted via e-mail to tell them if their abstracts have been accepted. Further instructions will then follow for successful authors but here is a guide:

Posters

  • Your poster should fit in a space 594 mm across by 841 mm down (A1 size, portrait not landscape)
  • Velcro will be provided to attach your poster to the stand
  • Posters that do not fit the allocated space may be disqualified

If your abstract is eligible to be presented orally please use the guidance below:

Free paper presentation

  • Maximum of 6 slides
  • Presentation should be 7 minutes long
  • You will be stopped at 7 minutes
  • 2 minutes for discussion
