Description
Green social prescribing (GSP) is the practice of supporting people to engage in nature-based activities to improve their health and is evidenced to yield significant mental health improvements in a cost-effective way that supports the natural environment.
Funded as part of the cross-governmental GSP Programme and developed by Thrive, the GSP Practitioner Guidance suggests foundational principles to support nature-based interventions providers to communicate with healthcare referrers, manage risk, and safeguard participants who are referred through Social Prescribing. It suggests core competencies and quality improvement for nature practitioners and provider organisations.
Join NASP and Thrive for this webinar to showcase the new guidance and help providers and healthcare referrers get the most out of it. While the guidance is aimed at nature providers, it will be useful for anyone interested in taking social prescribing referrals.
We will explore how to align types of activities to levels of mental health need and introduce the foundational principles for safe Green Social Prescribing practice.
