Embedding EDIB and cultural safety in everyday practice
Description
This webinar will support social prescribing link workers (SPLWs) and practitioners across health and community services to strengthen inclusive, culturally safe practice. The session will focus on how Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) principles can be applied in everyday conversations, relationships and decision-making to improve access, experiences and outcomes for the people and communities we support.
The webinar will unpack key concepts relating to EDIB and cultural safety, including how power, privilege, bias and structural inequality can shape access to services and support. We will also consider the barriers faced by marginalised communities in accessing housing, health and social support, and the role of lived experience, co-production and community assets in creating more inclusive care.
