The Hidden Health Costs of the Data Center Boom

In collaboration with the Children's Environmental Health Network, this webinar will present the documented and emerging health exposures associated with large scale data center development, including turbine and diesel generator emissions, water withdrawal, and utility cost burden in already overburdened communities. Drawing on field experience with frontline residents and local decision makers, this engaging session will identify where public health practitioners can best support.

Learning objectives:

1. Characterize the primary exposure pathways associated with data center siting and operation and identify the population health indicators most likely to be affected.
2. Explain how air permitting, zoning, and utility approval processes distribute these exposures across communities, and where health data can inform those decisions.
