Planetary Health Report Card Series - The Student Experience
Sustainable business and solutions
This session is the first in a series of events about taking part in the Planetary Health Report Card. Four students from pharmacy and dentistry will introduce what the Planetary Health Report Card (PHRC) is, share their motivation for being involved, and the key lessons they took away from this experience. We hope this gives some insight and encouragement to take part in the PHRC this year!

Description
The Planetary Health Report Card (PHRC), launched in 2019, is a student-led initiative that evaluates how health professional schools integrate planetary health into education. Using clear metrics across five categories, students—supported by faculty—assess their institutions, identify gaps, and work with staff to drive improvements. Results are published annually on Earth Day, tracking progress over time.
Originally created for medical schools, the PHRC now spans over 100 institutions in 15 countries, with pilots for nursing and pharmacy programs underway. Developed with global experts, this adaptable tool aims to inspire action for sustainable healthcare education and a healthier planet.
