Sustainable Healthcare Showcase

In October 2019, North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston Foundation NHS Trust (UHBW) declared a climate and ecological emergency, committing to achieving carbon net zero by 2030.

Since then, every October, Healthier Together, the Integrated Care System for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, dedicates the month to celebrating sustainable healthcare initiatives. This year’s theme, Patients, Planet, Partnership: Collaborating for Sustainable Healthcare, highlights the vital connections between patient care, environmental stewardship, and collaborative action.

Through inspiring talks and panel discussions we will explore how partnerships across roles, departments and sectors can drive sustainable change in healthcare settings and beyond. Together, we can build a resilient healthcare system that prioritises the wellbeing of both patients and our planet.
