Young people tell us the same things again and again. They’re worried. They’re angry. They’re grieving places and futures they haven’t lost yet. Some feel nothing at all and wonder what that says about them. Most feel it alone.

Today, we’re launching The Weather Within, a new platform for youth 14 and up to make sense of how climate change feels.

What you’ll find there

  • A place to name what you’re feeling, without having to explain it first
  • Tools to help you cope, steady yourself, and move from feeling to action
  • Stories from other young people who feel it too, and a space to share your own

We built it with young people and with partners who care about their wellbeing, because what youth need most is to know they aren’t the only ones.

How to use it

  • If you’re an educator, use it with your students. It’s a way to open a conversation many young people are already having quietly.
  • If you’re a parent, share it with your kids. You don’t need to have the answers. Giving them somewhere to go is a good start.
  • If you’re a youth 14+, explore it, use the tools, and share your story. Yours might be the one another young person needed to read.

This is just the beginning

We’re already hearing what people want next: more for educators and parents, more languages, and ways for it to work outside the US. We’re working to make all of that possible.

Help us get it to the people who need it

  • Share this email with someone who works with or raises young people
  • Post the link, or send it directly to a young person you know
  • Tell us what you’d like to see on the site
