Description

Plastic straws in news headlines can make many lose sight of the real problem: the continued widespread production of single-use plastics and increasing severity of the plastic pollution crisis. All people deserve access to safe drinking water that is free from microplastics and toxic chemicals, and with one in five people in the United States consuming exclusively plastic bottled water, it is critical to address the myriad issues involved with using single-use plastic bottles.

Joining the discussion will be Rachel Dawn Davis, Public Policy & Justice Organizer, WaterspiritGina Ramirez, Director of Midwest Environmental Health, NRDC; and Douglas Main, Environmental Journalist. The webinar will be moderated by Rachel Bustamante, Campaign Coordinator for Filtered Not Bottled at Plastic Pollution Coalition.
