There is clear evidence that emergency action will strengthen our national and economic resilience and improve lives. But first, our politicians need to see strong support from the public. The National Emergency Briefing is designed to help create a societal tipping point towards the genuine emergency action now needed. You can help make this happen.

The National Emergency Briefing is the result of leading experts and concerned citizens joining forces to encourage UK decision-makers to step up their response to the escalating climate and nature crisis, starting with a prime-time televised emergency briefing to the nation. It is supported by a wide range of well-known organisations, some of which are listed below.

This initiative is spearheaded by brothers Simon and Nick Oldridge, climate funders and communicators, with a background in business.

A wide range of groups and organisations are now using NEB materials for local screenings of the forthcoming NEB film. The NEB provides the film, guidance, graphics and other supporting resources, but the overall approach is deliberately decentralised. While these activities sit within the wider public-information initiative, they are organised independently by the groups involved.
