Description
During the session, we’ll look at the different ways social prescribing can positively influence mental wellbeing, including how strengths‑based, person‑centred approaches help people build resilience and connection. We will also draw on the national learning from the cross‑government Green Social Prescribing programme to outline the mental health levels that guide appropriate referrals, ensuring SPLWs feel equipped to navigate pathways and work collaboratively with other professionals.
You’ll gain practical insight into common mental health presentations, how to identify early signs of concern, and when escalation is necessary. The session will also explore the roles of other healthcare professionals, what good communication looks like, and how to escalate concerns in a timely and effective way. Through real‑world examples and case studies, speakers will share what works, key learning, and how SPLWs can support people while maintaining safe boundaries.
This session is ideal for social prescribing link workers or those with an interest in how social prescribing can support positive mental health and wellbeing.
