Where do we go from here? A planetary health community conversation on food, AI and cities
Description
As part of London Climate Action Week 2026, the Centre on Climate Change and Planetary Health (CCCPH) at LSHTM will host an interactive panel discussion exploring some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities in planetary health.
Bringing together researchers, practitioners, advocates and students, the event will examine planetary health through three interconnected themes: food systems, cities and artificial intelligence. Discussions will explore how climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution are affecting health and wellbeing, and how evidence, innovation and community-led action can help build more equitable and sustainable futures.
The event will feature a panel discussion and audience Q&A with experts working across climate change, food systems, urban health, human rights and AI. Together, speakers and participants will reflect on emerging insights, share examples of progress and identify opportunities for collaboration and collective action.
Taking place during London Climate Action Week, the event aims to strengthen connections across the planetary health community and create space for meaningful dialogue on the health dimensions of the climate and environmental crises.
The event is open to all, but will be of particular interest to researchers, public health and climate professionals, NGO representatives, students and community practitioners working at the intersection of climate, health and equity.
