To mark World Mental Health Day, this session will explore how social prescribing can contribute to mental health and wellbeing through person-centred, community-based support. The webinar will consider how people can be supported to access the right help, build confidence and strengthen connection.

We will explore how social prescribing can support people experiencing mental health challenges, including the wider social, emotional and practical factors that may affect wellbeing. We will also consider the importance of partnership working, appropriate signposting, clear boundaries and supporting people in ways that recognise their strengths, needs and circumstances.

This session has been developed to improve understanding of the role of social prescribing in mental health support, and how community-based approaches can complement clinical care and contribute to improved wellbeing.
