Description

Climate change and environmental degradation pose serious threats to human health. The primary issue addressed by this course is the significant environmental impact of the United States healthcare system, which contributes substantially to the nation’s greenhouse gas emissions.

This course aims to equip clinicians, administrators, and healthcare staff with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to improve their operations and work towards net zero emissions. By providing education on the environmental impact of healthcare and practical strategies for mitigation, the course empowers participants to implement sustainable practices in their healthcare work environment and through their respective roles.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for health system leaders/administrators and clinicians interested in sustainability careers, including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and pharmacists.
