Conventional means of this additional cement production would result in billions of tons of additional CO2 emissions. Fortunately, with innovations to cement production, urbanization, industrialization, and economic development do not need to lead to increased carbon emissions, unhealthy air pollution, or fragile fossil fuel-dependent supply chains.
