Children's Health and Fossil Fuels

Healthy Climate Maryland is hosting a webinar on the impacts of fossil fuels on children's health for our annual Children's Environmental Health Day webinar. We are thrilled to feature Ruth McDermott-Levy, PhD, MPH, RN, FAAN. Dr. McDermott-Levy is a professor and co-director of Mid-Atlantic Center for Children’s Health & the Environment (US Region 3 Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, which includes Maryland) at Villanova University’s Fitzpatrick College of Nursing. She has worked on incorporating climate change into nursing curricula, climate and health impacts for older adults and children, climate change mortality, and health impacts of unconventional natural gas extraction in Pennsylvania.
