Description

From parasailing to paella, every part of a tour generates emissions. But when it comes to a trip’s carbon footprint, where does a tour operator’s responsibility begin and end? And how can you possibly measure all the different parts, especially when so many are outside your direct control? As pressure grows from travelers, partners, and regulators to disclose and reduce emissions, it can be challenging to know where to begin.

This webinar will help you move from confusion to clarity. We’ll break down what does and doesn’t belong in your tour’s carbon footprint and discuss how to measure supply chain emissions, even with limited data or resources. You’ll learn how to use this data to identify opportunities for reduction and take practical steps to improve accuracy over time. We’ll also cover whether and how to share your emissions publicly, including through tools like carbon labels, even if your numbers aren’t yet 100% complete.

Our CEO, Paloma Zapata, will speak with forward-thinking tour operators about how they’re navigating these challenges in the real world. Kasia Morgan of Exodus Adventure Travels and Krista Hanni of Cheesemans’ Ecology Safaris will share how they measure supplier-related emissions, from the tools they use and priorities they set, to how they address data gaps and use their findings to communicate impact.
