Description

As outlined in Decades of Deceit, a report by the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), for decades the fossil fuel industry has waged a coordinated campaign of disinformation and delay, blocking progress to keep profiting from warming the planet. Now we are paying the price as "Danger Season"—the period between May and October when the United States and its Caribbean territories and neighbors experience their worst climate impacts—becomes ever more perilous. US communities and those around the world are facing the health, economic, and social effects of the industry's pollution and human rights violations—and demanding justice.

The growing field of attribution science allows us to more precisely demonstrate how Big Polluters have made the world more dangerous. And communities from the local to state to national level are fighting back, including through lawsuits seeking to hold the fossil fuel industry accountable for its deception and damages.

Hear from scientists, community leaders, and legal experts about all of these topics, and what you can do to join the fight to Make Polluters Pay.
