United Nations Development Programme

Information

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is the United Nations’ lead agency on international development, working in around 170 countries and territories to help people and nations build more sustainable, resilient and equitable futures.

Climate action, nature and sustainable development are central to UNDP’s work. Through programmes spanning climate change mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity, energy, circular economy, sustainable finance and resilience, UNDP supports governments, organisations and communities to translate global ambitions, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement, into practical action.

Education, knowledge sharing and capacity building are important components of this work. UNDP provides a wide range of learning resources, publications, courses, toolkits and initiatives designed to strengthen understanding and develop the skills and capabilities needed to respond to interconnected environmental and development challenges.

Through CPDmatch, healthcare professionals and organisations can discover relevant UNDP learning and resources that support greater environmental literacy and sustainable development.
