Project to Embed Adaptation to Climate Change in Healthcare

PEACCH is a project coordinated by researchers from Cambridge University’s Centre for Sustainable Development in conjunction with partners at Anglia Ruskin University and NHS practitioners. Its aim is to embed action to respond and adapt to climate change in healthcare facilities. Aligned with the recently adopted NHS Climate Adaptation Framework (https://www.england.nhs.uk/long-read/a-climate-adaptation-framework-for-nhs-organisations-in-england/) and building on research outputs from Life Resystal research project (https://life-resystal.eu/), PEACCH will deliver a series of 4 webinars and a document toolkit. The intent of the project is to increase awareness not only of the need to adapt, but also to provide practical steps that managers and practitioners can take to adapt their environments and practices to the main climate risks facing UK healthcare.
