Predicting the way forward for the Global Biodiversity Framework

The meeting of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) earlier this year was set up to propel the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) from agreement to action.

As countries currently draft national action plans to meet the GBF’s multiple targets to halt biodiversity loss and secure nature’s contributions to people, this is our one chance to ask: will they put us on track to satisfy the GBF’s long-term goals?
