Description
As the impacts of climate change intensify, a growing number of employers are exploring ways to integrate skills in resiliency and adaptability into their workforces. From deploying renewable energy and modernizing the electric grid to designing resilient infrastructure and supporting community adaptation, workers across sectors will be central to building a climate-resilient future. This conversation will explore how colleges, universities, community colleges, and trade schools prepare learners for careers that support climate solutions. Our speakers will highlight efforts to expand educational pathways for resiliency-focused jobs while also examining how institutions are integrating competencies into a wide range of disciplines to address the skills needed to address the effects of climate change.
Climate Conversations: Pathways to Action is a monthly webinar series from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine that aims to convene high-level, cross-cutting, nonpartisan conversations about issues relevant to policy action on climate change.
