Climate change is one of the defining health challenges of the 21st century, with far‑reaching and profoundly unequal impacts on populations worldwide. In collaboration with partners, The Lancet Countdown: Tracking Progress on Health and Climate Change is convening a webinar series to share the latest evidence and explore how climate change and health indicators can be further developed and applied to accelerate climate action.

The series will showcase cutting‑edge research at both global and regional levels, highlighting how indicators linking climate change and health are being designed, used, and refined to support evidence‑informed decision‑making across policy and practice.

Professor Jan Semenza, Dr Andrés (Willy) Lescano, and Professor Rachel Lowe will examine the current state of infectious‑disease indicators and how they are shaping climate change and public health responses. Bringing together leading experts in the field, the session will explore key opportunities, challenges, and practical applications of climate‑health indicators for public‑health decision‑making, followed by an interactive Q&A.
